The garden village of Algund is in the immediate proximity of the well-known spa town of Meran. You can reach Meran by public transport in a few minutes, or even better: take a leisurely hike along the irrigation channels, the Tappeiner Weg and the Passer promenades to the centre of Meran.
The climate in Meran is Mediterranean and favours the growth of plants such as palm trees, cypresses, holm oaks, laurel, myrtle and cedars of Lebanon. The Texel Group mountain range in the north and north-west protects the basin from cold winds. An average of around 300 sunny days are counted per year and are waiting for you!
